Festival Classique Den Haag
The Hague has become a well-known city for classical music on the water. It’s host of the ‘Festival Cassique’, a free open air concert held on The Hague's Hofvijver pond. The Netherlands’ prime minister has a good view from his office at the setting up, performance and dismantling of the whole production. The drifting 1,200-seat- stage is a great central part of the concert, which attracts between 30,000 and 50,000 spectators and is broadcast live on TV.
It was the first classical festival of its size and kind in the Netherlands and as such part of the ’The Hague Festivals’, with which the Dutch city is aiming to profile itself as the international capital of justice and peace in the years to come.
THE PRODUCTION FACTORY is responsible for complete planning and co-ordination of the ‘Festival Classique’s drifting stage' and all necessary technical departments.
