AKZO NOBEL - Introduction of the new logo
AKZO NOBEL chose Amsterdam’s PTA Cruise Terminal at the Ij bay to introduce their new corporate identity. During the show, the new logo was unveiled on a swimming ponton, accompanied by intricate aerial fireworks, choreographed to music. The ponton was anchored at the Ij adjacent to the PTA, so the guest could toast the new logo at the end of the show with a glass of champagne. The whole performance offered a phantastic visual opportunity for the press, which made AKZO NOBEL’s new CI go around the world.
THE PRODUCTION FACTORY, in the mean time a specialist for swimming stages and all other disciplines for concerts and events on the water, was contracted by agency Imagination to plan and carry out all technical aspects of the event. The main part was a swimming ponton of 100 x 100 ft with a giant scaffolding structure for all aerial performances, the logo to be unveiled and all technology like sound reinforcement, lighting, decoration, power supply, fireworks and the like.
The whole package was pre-constructed at Amsterdam’s Suez Harbor and towed by boat into the Ij – of course accompanied by the Port Authorities and the Water Police, organised by THE PRODUCTION FACTORY.
